I need an assist from the power of social media!
I have essentially finished the full draft of my book based on #EdJourney last fall. Sending blind proposals to publishers will be time-consuming and, well, blind. So I need your help: do you know a publishing editor, or a publishing agent who might know an editor I can talk to for ten minutes, or connect via email? Based on other authors’ work, Jossey Bass would be a good fit; others would be Basic Books, Viking, and Broadway. I have Tweeted out to @JBEducation and awaiting response via that channel as well.
Any contacts you can pass along are greatly appreciated so I can get all this work product out to you sooner rather than later. One free day of my work at your school to anyone who successfully gets me connected with a publisher!
Grant,
Try Avocus Publishing (http://www.avocus.com/index.html). They are strictly in independent school publisher. Also, I wonder if NAIS wouldn’t be interested in publishing as part of their catalog.
Grant, I have a colleague at Oxford University Press who is an editor with a focus on education and would be clad to chat. Email me at msilberberg@lrei.org and I’ll put you in contact.
