PDS Memphis Shares Specific, Imaginative Examples of Technology in Learning

As I mentioned last week. Presbyterian Day School in Memphis is doing some really interesting work with embedded technology, starting at early grade levels.  They started to share it all with me in person and I got out of my depth in a hurry.  Then I tried to capture and embed all of the rich examples they shared in a self-created blog post and I got out of my depth again!

So the PDS team have been kind enough to share a number of tidbits from different grade levels, including the tools they use and video examples of the boys (they are an all-boys school).  This page they created just for this posting is rich in fun examples of how technology can be used to really engage each student and customize some of the learning experience.  What I really enjoyed about how PDS uses technology: it never seems to be an end in itself.  And, they are not just buying and using canned programs.  They are writing some of their own, specifically for their vision of how to meet each student where they are with a unique brand of “just it time learning” that is powerful and engaging.

Thanks, Cathy Kyle and Tech team from PDS for sharing with all of us!
